Welcome Neighbors

We’re proud to have you as part of our community. Our neighborhood currently depends on a very small group of homeowner volunteers who handle the essential work that keeps our HOA operating and our costs down. Without them, we would be forced to pay for outside management—resulting in significantly higher dues for everyone.

We need more homeowners to get involved. Here, you’ll find updates, resources, and simple ways you can contribute. Even small commitments of time make a real difference and help keep our community affordable and well-run.

Let’s build a stronger community together—starting with more hands pitching in.

 2025 PROJECT SUMMARY

Holiday Lights

  • Thank you to our the 4 homeowners who took time out of their schedule to put up the holiday lights Nov 15th!

Landscaping Maintenance

  • A big thank you to Keith Bergmooser for  removal of the dead boxwoods at the front entrance. The four trees at the center island were also trimmed. They look MUCH better!
  • Another big thank you to Keith Taylor and Keith Bergmooser for spending a large part of the day on Nov 11 to remove scrub brush, invasive trees, and elevating the pines at the pond at Tall Oak.

Weeds & Irrigation System

  • We have tested a torch to help with the weeding of the common areas, but that isn't the solution, so rocks have been removed and replaced with sod.
  • Repairs to the sprinkler system by the entry have been completed in order to keep our plants healthy and not needing to be replaced.

Sidewalks

  • This fall, the remainder of the common areas trip hazzards (that are the responsibility of the HOA) will be shaved down.
  • The township is responsible for a few of the sidewalk slabs (currently marked with red paint) and they have it on their list to complete - but not sure if that will happen in 2025.

Annual Road Repairs

  • We are gathered 3 quotes for this year’s road maintenance projects to ensure safe and smooth driving conditions throughout the neighborhood.
  • The decision was made at May HOA meeting to go with J&S Asphalt.
  • The potholes were filled in May and cracks were sealed in July.

Detention Pond Maintenance

  • The board researched best practices and service providers for proper detention pond maintenance to ensure long-term function and compliance.
  • Michigan Lake and Pond have been contracted to treat the growth of non-native invasive plant growth, algae and phragmites to improve functional and aesthetics.
  • The first treatment started in June and we are seeing a huge improvement.

Storm Drains and Detention Pond Systems

  • We’ve completed a schematic plan of the detention pond and storm drains in partnership with the township to guide future improvements and maintenance strategies.
  • A big thank you to a couple of volunteers who have been working to unblock some of our clogs.
